Kozui Green Tea

Kozui Green Tea
(Tomas Morato)

For lunch today, beloved and I went to Kozui Green Tea. We planned to go to the newly-opened Bubble Tea at Tomas Morato, but we soon found out that they were still on a dry run. Since we didn’t want to risk anything, in particular not being able to get the 1Php-for-every-50Php-rebate we invested on, we decided to walk towards Omakase and go to a place we somehow fancy on the way. Kozui happened to be one of those places, featuring healthy green tea infused drinks and foodstuffs.

Roti Mum

Roti Mum
(SM Megamall)

Before passing by Komoro Soba, we saw this somewhat new stall at the corner of where Komoro Soba is located. It’s called Roti Mum. Beloved and I love Kopiroti’s kopi buns (coffee-flavored buns) so we decided to grab some as well.

Komoro Soba

Komoro Soba
(SM Megamall)

Yesterday, beloved and I went to Komoro Soba. This was actually the second time we went here, but the first time, we only got to try their ice cream. We accompanied our friends who actually dined there. Their orders looked good and seemed like a great bargain, so we decided the next time we go to Megamall, we would eat here. That next time happened to be yesterday.

Bubble Tea

Bubble Tea
(SM North EDSA)

Yesterday, beloved and I went to Bubble Tea at SM North EDSA. We are a somewhat frequent customer since we find their food to be a great value for their quantity and quality—heck, we even availed of their LoyalTea card which gives a 1 Php rebate for every 50 Php purchase.

Peanut Butter Company

Peanut Butter Company
(SM North EDSA)

Yesterday, beloved and I went to Peanut Butter Company. From the name, you can assume that it specializes in peanut butter. Basically all their menu, save a couple, has peanut butter in it. This includes their sandwiches, pastas, and burgers. Sounds gross? I made an appalled face when I first saw it. Beloved tried it once before and loved it. Since she wanted me to try out their burger, I gave in.

Jack's Loft

Jack's Loft
(Trinoma)

Jack’s Loft has been a semi-favorite hangout of beloved and me when we have a bit of money to burn and feel like drinking a lot of iced tea ever since we tried its incarnation on Trinoma. Yesterday, we ate there after a few months of not going. Although this bistro specializes in desserts and alcohol, we love their sharable sandwiches and special iced tea. We also like its location in the mall, which is at the alfresco area on the fourth floor near our tambayan arcade with the cool wind rushing in from the west balcony.

Kamirori

Kamirori
(Katipunan)

Beloved and I spent our Valentines dinner at Kamirori. This restaurant was a childhood favorite of mine, but I can barely remember their food since the last time I went here has been over a decade. The first Kamirori at Katipunan ave., which our family used to freqeunt, was gone. They apparently moved somewhere at the inner streets of the avenue, and since, I haven’t been able to return. When the Petron Square at Katipunan opened, Kamirori opened a branch there as well, giving me a flash of childhood memories and cravings. If you haven’t figured it out yet from its name, Kamirori is Japanese. I have no idea what it means, and if you ask me, I’ll answer, from my little knowledge of the language, God from “Kami” and little girl from “rori”—Little girl god.

Burger Ave.

Burger Ave.
(A Venue Mall, Makati)

Last Saturday, me, beloved, and company went to Burger Ave. Three of us had one mission in mind: to beat the “Ridiculous Challenge”. One of my friends told me of this resto, and the challenge. The moment he told me about it, I wanted to try it out as soon as possible. Once we were able to decide on a date, we went there in a group. We embarked on the challenge with different strategies in mind—I decided not to eat anything beforehand, another decided to eat meagerly, while another ate at McDonald’s fifteen minutes before our journey. We also decided to walk there from Rockwell to further increase our hunger. Did it work? And what the heck is this challenge anyway?

Seafood Island

Seafood Island
(Shopwise, Cubao)

Beloved and I went to Seafood Island today. Although from the name you can assume that they specialize in seafood, they also specialize in grilled and barbecued favorites. This was the first time we ever tried this, so it’s basically a blind selection out of the blue. Or maybe we tried this because of the pirate crab mascot.

Rai-Rai Ken

Rai-Rai Ken
(SM Megamall)

Rai-Rai Ken is a ramen restaurant and sushi bar. The first Rai-Rai Ken I ate in was in Robinsons Galleria, and it was a pleasant experience. I forget what exactly I ordered but I do remembered it was filling and delicious. Me and beloved went there today for lunch.
